Slow Dance Shop

As Social Media & Marketing Manager at Slow Dance Shop, I lead the digital marketing campaigns, the creative direction for social media profiles, and the digital outreach initiatives. Specific tasks involved developing graphics, content creation and curation, outsourcing artists for monthly art walks, and analyzing market and social media trends.

01 — Digital Marketing & Outreach

In leading our digital marketing campaigns, I proposed key ideas to increase engagement and reach within our social media profiles. A prime example was creating graphics to promote Black Friday, and creating Reels to promote Small Business Saturday. I also engaged in outreach via email and social media, finding artists to include in our art walks who aligned with the values of Slow Dance Shop. In addition, I developed graphics to advertise for such events.

02 — Creative Direction & Content Creation

In analyzing what digital marketing tactics work best for Slow Dance, our Instagram Reels were the most successful, typically earning an upwards of 1,000 views per Reel. With full creative direction, I curated trend-worthy styles paired with trending audios which were displayed in our content to showcase new pieces in the shop.

Daughter Zine

As a Social Media Coordinator for Daughter Zine, I carefully curated content to represent the vision of Daughter Zine, while occasionally engaging in content creation. I also developed engaging captions and posts to promote Daughter’s weekly substack releases.

01 — Content Creation & Curation

As a part of curating content, I conducted extensive research on trending memes, eras of art history, and all things pop culture that align with Daughter’s vision of showcasing the realities of girlhood across time. Additionally, I created Reels related to memes that align with this vision, one of which garnered 1.7 million views.
